The Mission
St. Peter’s is a Christ-centered church with the mission to “Glorify God, Grow in Christ, and Share God’s Love and Forgiveness.” Our desire is to be a grace filled community that supports each other, encourages one another, and together serves God by loving and caring for our neighbors in the Elk Grove community. We care deeply about connecting people to Christ and to each other. Called to be disciples of Christ, we follow Him and share His Good News!
The Vision
We are a Christ-Centered Church:
Our whole life as a church comes from the living Christ and His saving grace given to us through His death and resurrection. He is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
We are a Family Church:
We have been called together in Christ as a family of believers who grow together, serve together, and mutually care for and build up one another in both good and difficult times.
We are a Missional Church:
We are a mission outpost, a sending place from which to live out and share the life of Christ in a world so loved by God.
We are a Lutheran Church:
While celebrating our unity in Christ and working with Christians in many denominations, we celebrate and embrace our Lutheran understanding of the Christian faith.
